When you’re vacation is a staycation and you have nothing buy yard work in your future, you have to find a way to make it fun. For this week, Ross and I have decided that we’re going to eat at all the “Chipotle-esque” places in Columbus. How many could there possibly be, you might ask. Well, actually, there are quite a few.

1. Chipotle – the original. Mexican.
2. Bibibop – Koren
3. Curry Up – Indian
4. Pokebap – Hawaiian. You heard that right. It’s Hawaiian. We’ve never eaten there before but for the sake of completion of this task, we’re willing to give it a go. This place is so new, they don’t even have a full website.
5. Piada – Italian
6. Brassica – Lebaneese

I’m not including Qdoba in this list because that’s just another Mexican assembly line place and we already have that covered with Chipotle. I’m also not including any sandwich places like Subway because, nope. Not eating that this week. With all the above goodness, why would I include Subway.

Why are there so many, you might ask? Well, Columbus is a test market and things start up here to see if they’ll fly nationwide. If a chain or sandwich can make it in Columbus, then it can make it anywhere. Columbus has such a cross section of demographics, nationalities, and ethnicities that just about everything gets tested here.

So, anyway, there’s our plan. We have seven days to complete this task. I think we can do it. Wish us luck!
